Recorded, not reported.

Nexus is a connected medication ecosystem for treatment at home, holding each medicine at its required temperature, recording each dose automatically and giving patient, clinician, care team and pharmacy one shared record.

A fridge keeps medicine cold but records nothing, and a reminder app knows only what it is told. Nexus begins with the pharmacy label and the clinician’s instructions, then records what happens to the medicine itself.

The clinical problem

In a study of biologic injectors stored at home, fewer than one in eight stayed within the recommended 2 to 8°C range, and a third spent more than a week above 8°C.¹ For insulin, 79% of temperature logs went outside the recommended range.² In routine care, none of this is visible.

Illustrative trace, with the recommended 2 to 8°C range shaded.

  • App screen scanning a pharmacy label for adalimumab 40mg injection

One scan with the Nexus app turns the dose, timing and storage requirements into a plan that the app and your Med Pod follow.

  • App storage screen: Kitchen Cryo at 4.9°C, within its 2–8°C safe range over the last 24 hours

The Med Pod holds the medicine at its required temperature and logs it minute by minute.

  • App screen confirming a dose recorded at 08:12 by the Cryo unit, with nothing to tap

Taking a dose out records it automatically, with no logging and no button to press.

  • App screen counting 2 doses left, with a repeat supply ready to send

Nexus Replenish tracks what is left and prepares a repeat request for your named pharmacy, sent only when you approve it.

Nexus Edge

Nexus Edge takes used pens and needles and records each disposal alongside the dose before it.

Nexus Charging Plinth

The charging plinth for your Med Pods. At home they sit on it and charge, and when you go out, they come with you.

App screen reading a scanned pharmacy label
App daily plan greeting Rachel, with today's medicines and the status of her units
App instructions for adalimumab: one injection every 14 days, each step with a pictogram
App screen for sharing the record with Dr Raman or someone else
App repeat request: 2 doses left, ready to send to the pharmacy
Clinician view listing 3 patients who need attention

Scan the pharmacy label and the app reads it for you, with no typing.

The clinician, the patient, the pharmacy and the care team each hold part of the picture, and none can see the rest. Nexus gives all four the same record, with nothing re-keyed or self-reported.

Francesca (Chess) Howard, founder and CEO of Vita Panacea

Vita Panacea was founded by Chess Howard, who spent fourteen years structuring Healthcare and Life Sciences risk in the Lloyd’s of London market after beginning her career on Wall Street at eighteen.

Her work sat at the multi-jurisdictional, large and complex end of the market, from hospital groups and life sciences companies to clinical trial programmes spanning several regulatory regimes. By thirty she was heading a Healthcare and Life Sciences division.

Much of the cost, waste and risk in medicine arises after supply, in the patient’s home, where almost nothing is recorded. Nexus is her answer to that gap, and she is its sole inventor.
